Salvatore Looz, the second-generation owner of our restaurant, was born and raised in Naples, Italy. He lived in New York when his father, Raffaele Looz, and Uncle Gennaro Lucci opened Lenny’s Pizzeria in Brooklyn.
Since then, Salvatore has opened several different Italian restaurants in the Triad area. These include the Times Square Pizza in Lexington, which was opened in October 2016, and the one in Winston-Salem, which was opened in October 2015.
He and his family are the original owners of Mama Mia’s in Wallburg, which opened in 2010, and Elizabeth’s Pizza in High Point. His father established Elizabeth’s Pizza in 1983, and Salvatore took over the business in 1991.
According to Salvatore, what makes our restaurants different is that ours are the closest you can get to the original. We are successful because we only use quality ingredients. From the bread to the sauces, everything is homemade. We also have the same formula that we use in New York. 9 out of 10 New Yorkers have told us that our dishes are the real deal.
